Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival -- May 7th & 8th, 2005

It was GOOD to be back in '05! SEE MAP

Pam's fleeces took 1st and 2nd in the Coopworth breed class at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival back in May!!
The red ribbon went to Toula's white fleece

Our bestest buddy Allison C. had amazing success in the fibery competitions!

Congratulations to Allison!
She scored a couple of red ribbons and a couple BLUE ones!

Her tunic for a doll or teddy bear was awarded a First Place blue ribbon AND a judges' "Special Award"

I'm not sure if a Hatchtown spindle or two may have been used to spin some of Allison's yarn, but I'm willing to bet that a good bit of the fiber came from The Fold -- I know Allison and her mom are big Toni Neil fans!

Pam and Amy had another fantastic time at the 2005 NYS Festival. I once again stayed home again to tend sheep, pigs, chickens and dogs. As always, Pam reports there was a constant stream of old friends flowing through the Hatchtown booth.     Visit the official festival website: New York State Sheep & Wool Festival

Pictures of the The 2000 event:
Both Pam and I headed south to hook up with super-salesperson/demonstrator Amy McCoy. We all helped man The Rose & the Thistle booth at the Festival. Sharon Moore even managed to corral her DH Ray into helping carry and set-up so we really had a full staff.
