We’re back in the deep freeze now but last week… when you could actually take your gloves off for a few moments…I had the chance to take some photos around the farm.
Phew! It’s been a crazy frantic couple of weeks! I thought so many times about posting but would fall asleep on the couch, wake up in the wee hours of the morning and go to bed. Not very productive… On Monday the 3rd, I finished packing & shipped off our first year’s Fiber CSA shares. I was excited… but anxious at the same time. At [….read more] In the last week, the studio has been taken over by boxes of fiber arriving from the mill. I’m not complaining — anything fiber is a good thing! It’s been fun weighing the roving and packing it into bags for our shareholders. The yarn shares took far less time to label and pack but were equally as fun to do. All I can say is [….read more] There are still some fleeces that haven’t been sent off from fall shearing and they need to go! It’s been too cold to stay in the barn for any length of time and the fleeces are impossible to unroll so I’ve brought some into the studio to warm up. We did a very good job of skirting them at shearing so there isn’t too much [….read more] The new year arrived and we didn’t really make much of it…a quiet evening at home and a good night’s sleep.
